My approach is rooted in storytelling. I spent eight years at the LA Times, three years in South America and another five at the Naples Daily News photographing real moments, and I bring that same documentary sensibility to weddings. I focus on capturing what’s genuine and unscripted, while also creating thoughtful, beautiful portraits when the moment calls for it.

Best for shorter and intimate celebrations but available to anyone who might want high quality photography at a fraction of the cost.

Family sessions

Sessions typically last between 1–2 hours, though I’m never overly rigid with time. What matters most is that we get THE images. You’ll receive 100+ photographs—a blend of gently guided portraits and candid, unscripted moments.

I’m especially drawn to sessions in people’s homes. There’s an intimacy to being in your own space and also something special about remembering the moment as you live it. That said, I’m always happy to photograph in an alternative location if that feels like a better fit. Los Angeles and Santa Barbara offer beautiful outdoor alternatives. 

I approach every person with care and a deep sensitivity. My presence is calm, engaged, and thoughtful—creating space for you to simply be yourselves. I'm happy to help and I'm here for guidance! 

I photograph using a mix of primarily digital and some film.

Home/outdoor session - $750

These sessions are lit with natural and artificial light and photographs look honest. The studio is located in downtown LA near the fashion district.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m calm, intentional, and easy to be around. With young kids especially, I like to start slow and give everyone space to settle into my presence. There’s no rush. I guide gently where a person or family should stand or be together and then pay attention to what’s naturally unfolding. The goal is for the whole experience to feel relaxed and unhurried, so real moments can come through. By the end, people often forget they’re being photographed at all.

  • Most people feel this way, even I do. You’re not expected to know what to do, that’s my role. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but more than anything, I’ll create space for you to just be with the people you love.

    You don’t have to perform or ‘get it right.’ Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments, when you’re relaxed, connected, and being yourselves. Of course we’ll get a few pictures where everyone’s looking and smiling, but the real magic tends to happen when you forget the camera is there.

    My job is to make this feel easy, and to create images that feel natural, honest, and truly like you.
