I'm a documentary photographer based in Los Angeles, California. Previously I was freelancing in Colombia, South America and before that I was a staff photographer at the Naples Daily News in Florida. I have a master’s degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University and completed internships at The Oregonian and the Sandusky Register. I attended the Eddie Adams Workshop and the Missouri Photo Workshop.
A native to California, my interest in photojournalism began as an undergraduate at Sarah Lawrence College where I studied Anthropology. I like the idea that photographs can give me access to people's lives and serve as an avenue to speak about important moments occurring in our world.
